What You Need Minimum Job Requirements: Facility Management: Extensive knowledge of and experience with facility management including systems engineering design and maintenance, safety/authorization basis, configuration management programs, work control, facility control systems, major construction projects, and/or upgrades and renovations. Extensive experience with government regulations affecting facility maintenance and management. Maintenance Operations: Extensive knowledge of and experience with facility work hazards, safety practices, operating configuration, and lock-out/tag-out policies and/or procedures. Demonstrated experience and ability to understand and interpret various physical, mechanical, and electrical documents, blueprints, drawings, and schematics. Demonstrated experience and skill in identifying problem areas, investigating alternative solutions, and determining action to be performed on problems affecting performance. Leadership: Demonstrated experience and skill in management, supervision, and human resources administration of assigned employees. Demonstrated experience and skill developing and implementing organizational strategies and objectives. Demonstrated experience negotiating and gaining acceptance from peers, upper management, and customers in sensitive situations. Demonstrated ability to provide strong leadership, mentorship, prioritization, and management of assigned employees in a collaborative and participative environment to build strong teams. Education/Experience: Position requires a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution and 5 years related experience; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience directly related to the occupation. Desired Qualifications: In depth knowledge of the Laboratory's organizational structure. Demonstrated experience with LANL business systems for management and administration of personnel including timekeeping, payroll, budgeting, travel, training and certification, performance reviews, and payroll policies and procedures. Demonstrated in depth knowledge of LANL maintenance program policy and procedures. Demonstrated in depth knowledge of LANL Explosives Safety policy and applicability. Demonstrated ability to prepare and present safety and technical briefings to large groups of a diverse workforce representative of all types and levels of workers. Active Q clearance. Familiarity with T-Week Process.Professional Engineer (PE) Certification and/or Professional Certification as a Certified Facility Manager (CFM) or Certified Maintenance Reliability Professional (CMRP) desired. Work Location: The work location for this position is onsite and located in Los Alamos, NM. All work locations are at the discretion of management. Position commitment: Regular appointment employees are required to serve a period of continuous service in their current position in order to be eligible to apply for posted jobs throughout the Laboratory. What You Will Do The Maintenance and Site Services (MSS) Division is a multidisciplinary organization whose primary mission is to provide the Laboratory, both nuclear and non-nuclear facilities, with safe, reliable, and efficient infrastructure maintenance and utilities support. The MSS-Weapons Facility Operations Group (WFO) Work Week Manager (WWM) will drive the long-range strategic planning process for maintenance by overseeing and managing the scheduling of design, planning, execution, modification, and maintenance of equipment, and machinery in its respective facilities. The successful candidate must have a strong background in maintenance and facility engineering and will be responsible for: planning, budgeting, and scheduling facility modifications to include estimates on equipment, labor, materials, and other related costs; designing and developing organizational policies relevant to facility maintenance activities, while ensuring common processes and procedures are utilized by deployed groups; providing technical leadership and management for the MSS-WFO team; and will work closely with the WFO Maintenance Manager to ensure facilities are managed that support the research, development, and testing for weapons engineering and manufacturing for Department of Defense programs.
