JOB SUMMARY Sun Country is hiring Seasonal A&P Mechanics! Our Seasonal employees will be in active status and work variable hours during Sun Country peak business seasons. Candidates must have availability to work variable hours. Sun Country will provide advance notice when seasonal needs change and seasonal needs will be ending.
The primary responsibility of the Seasonal Aircraft Mechanic is to ensure the ongoing airworthiness of the Sun Country Airlines' fleet of aircraft.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
- Troubleshoot and repair aircraft to Sun Country Airlines standards.
- Correctly complete paperwork for maintenance performed on aircraft.
- Enter all log items, NRTCs, and task cards into TRAX.
- Identify and report problems that could impact daily maintenance operations.
- Communicate with Maintenance Station Supervisor during all maintenance procedures.
- Maintain an up-to-date OJT file.
- Assist with training of newly hired individuals, as necessary.
- Accomplish housekeeping of maintenance facilities, as required.
- Move and park aircraft as operations warrant.
- Move and position ground equipment as needed for the maintenance operation.
- Conduct all tasks in a safe and efficient manner complying with all local, state, and federal safety and health regulatory requirements, programmatic standards, and with any internal policies and procedures identified by Sun Country Airlines.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS - High school diploma or equivalent
- A&P license required
- Must be highly motivated and a self-starter
- Excellent communication, organizational, problem solving skills
- Work effectively with minimal supervision under stressful situations

PREFERRED SKILLS - 2 years line maintenance
- 2 years 737NG jet experience
- 737NG Familiarization Class
- 2 years' experience in aircraft structural repair
- Valid US Passport
WORK ENVIRONMENT This job operates in the maintenance hangar and ramp area. This role is routinely exposed to all weather elements.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS Work is performed while standing, sitting and/or walking. Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision and hearing. Requires the use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations. Requires bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, reaching. Requires the ability to lift, carry, push or pull medium weights, up to 75 pounds. Requires activities involving being around moving machinery, exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity, and exposure to dust, fumes and gases.
ADDITIONAL NOTES Must have valid driver's license
Must be able to obtain an MSP SIDA badge and Customs Seal.
