Military Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Military Analyst/Subject Matter Expert (SME) with a specialization in sustainment and intelligence functions to join our team supporting the Program Executive Office for Simulation, Training, and Instrumentation (PEO STRI). The candidate will provide program support to the organization in the form of planning, integrating, coordinating, and strategic communications across various APM Teams and Functional Branches - Technical, Logistics, and Business, as well as with other internal and external agencies. Other requirements include program planning, scheduling, report, preparation, briefings, and supporting management. Interface daily with military and civilian personnel and other contractor personnel in a team environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Answer task and prepare communications for Congressional Level responses.
  • Conduct comprehensive analysis of military sustainment and intelligence operations, processes, and systems.
  • Develop recommendations for the optimization and integration of sustainment and intelligence capabilities across various training, simulation, and instrumentation platforms.
  • Prepare and develop new strategies to increase the output for the Product Office. Responsible for updating/implementing policies or core working practices and should provide clear leadership and direction to personnel, as directed by management.
  • Plays a key administrative role; keep accurate records of important meetings/schedule for the implementation of various Product Office strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including program managers, engineers, and other SMEs, to ensure alignment with PEO STRI's goals and objectives.
  • Manage office battle rhythm (meetings, agendas, tasking requirements, product development, and administrative documents)
  • Assimilate information from numerous sources and provide recommendations to leadership.
  • Assist in developing documentation, reports, and briefings for senior leadership on sustainment and intelligence-related topics.
  • Coordinate technical development with other Project/Product Offices, other government agencies, and contractors to promote information exchange
  • Prepare Acquisition Decision Memorandums (ADM)
  • Stay current with industry best practices, emerging technologies, and developments related to sustainment and intelligence functions within the military context.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in military sustainment and intelligence operations, preferably within a program management office or similar environment.
  • Strong understanding of military sustainment and logistics concepts, including supply chain management, equipment maintenance, and personnel readiness.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Army regulations, acquisition policies and precedents, program goals and objectives, and work processes of the organizations supported, as well as relationships with other programs within Department of the Army.
  • Army Acquisition experience.
  • Program Management experience and extensive knowledge of contract actions and documents to include but not limited to Statements of Work and Integrated Master Schedules
  • Experience with direct fire weapons systems, employment fundamentals, and maintenance and logistics involved.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, work effectively and well with others.
  • Skilled in interpersonal and intergovernmental communications.
  • Plan, organize, and direct the work of teams or task forces to accept recommendations, changes, or conflicts among team members
  • Above average knowledge of Microsoft Programs, to include, but not limited to Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • High level of organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
