Job Description
The position will assist with various tax matters, including tax projects, tax compliance, tax provision, audits and other ad hoc projects (i.e. identification, analysis, and evaluation of tax savings strategies and planning opportunities).
Responsibilities:
• Prepare international components for quarterly tax accounting provision, which include but not limited to Subpart F, GILTI, FDII, BEAT, FTC, APB 23, E&P analysis for foreign and Withholding Taxes.
• Prepare and file U.S. international tax return, such as Forms 5471, 8865, 8858, 8975, 8991,8992, 8993, 1118 and associated elections and statements.
• Assist the US domestic tax team to prepare US Federal and State tax returns.
• Partner with global tax team in the preparation of transfer pricing studies.
• Coordinate with the global tax team to reconcile income tax accounts across all foreign tax ledgers and provide appropriate support for deferred balances.
• Monitor and analyze existing and proposed tax legislation, informing management of the implications from both a tax compliance and provision standpoint.
• Evaluate U.S. and foreign transactions to determine the applicable U.S. federal income tax and prepare technical memos to support and defend the taken tax positions.
• Identify opportunities for tax saving and process enhancements; implement changes to adopt best practices.
Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
· CPA preferred
· Minimum of 5 years of U.S. International Tax experience in a multinational corporate tax department or public accounting
· Proficient user of OneSource products (OIT required; OTP preferred)
· Ability to research and understand complex tax laws to determine correct tax treatment
· Strong ability to meet deadlines, multitask efficiently, and take ownership of projects
· Excellent interpersonal skills, team-oriented, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
· Detail-oriented with a high level of ethics and integrity
· Strong organizational and project leadership skills, able to drive and lead projects
· Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
