Job Overview:

We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Information Systems Cyber Security Specialist to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the security of our organization's information systems by implementing security measures, monitoring for security breaches, and responding to cyber threats.

Key Responsibilities:

• Security Monitoring: Monitor network traffic and systems for security incidents and vulnerabilities.
• Incident Response: Respond to security breaches and other cyber incidents promptly and effectively, including containment, eradication, and recovery.
• Risk Assessment: Conduct regular security risk assessments and vulnerability testing to identify potential threats and weaknesses.
• Security Policies: Develop, implement, and enforce security policies, procedures, and protocols.
• Training and Awareness: Provide cybersecurity training and awareness programs to employees to ensure compliance with security policies.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant legal and regulatory requirements, such as GDPR, CMMC, or ISO 27001.
• Patch Management: Oversee the application of security patches and updates to all systems and software.
• Security Tools: Manage and maintain security tools and technologies, such as antivirus software, and intrusion detection systems.
• Collaboration: Work with other IT staff to design and implement security solutions for new and existing systems.

Qualifications:

• Education: Associates degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 1- 3 years of experience in information security or a related field.
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in security frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
  • Experience with security technologies such as SIEM, and endpoint protection.
  • Knowledge of network protocols, architecture, and design.
  • Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, Linux) and their security configurations.
    
• Soft Skills:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality
